Lost Words

Lost words, lost voice, lost heart, lost soul,

All given up, hang our head down low,

Lost love, lost life, lost family,

Lost hope, don't think we can carry on see.

He's known as the delinquent,

Trips to the principal's office pretty frequent,

She's the kinda kid who never fitted in,

Talkn' back, arguing over every little thing.

You never seem to see him smile these days,

Always walking round in some kind of haze,

Walkin' around not giving a damn,

Everyday, every minute it's always the same,

For her actions, want others to take the blame,

Then there are the days,

Where she wished that she never came.

Lost words, lost voice, lost heart, lost soul,

All given up girl hang you're head down low,

Lost love, lost life, lost family,

Last hope don't think we can carry on see.

She floats around, don't talk, don't care,

Forever got those damn plugs in her ears,

Deaf to all but his precious music,

He's got a decent brain, if only she would use it,

If she did she could go real far in life,

But first gotta learn how to stay out of strife.

To her sorry is just another friggin word,

He don't seem to care about all he's hurt,

But some how all this shit has gotta stop,

Gotta stop before she looses all that he's got.

Lost words, lost voice, lost heart, lost soul,

All givin up boy, hang your head down low,

Lost love, lost life, lost family,

Lost hope don't think we can carry on see.

See that little girl, over there on the stairs,

It seems to me that she is drowning in her tears,

Maybe he thinks that the world don't care,

As she sits there crying on the stairs.

I can tell you that her world is crashing down,

Eye's glazed over, screaming without a sound,

People in her life seem to come and go,

Treat her life like some kinda freak show,

Anger blazing through unseeing eyes,

She don't want no one to sympathise,

Wants someone to understand what she has felt,

Open her mouth but the words won't come out.

See that little boy, over there on the stairs,

It seems to me that he is drowning in his fears,

Maybe he thinks that the world don't care,

As he sits there crying on the stairs.

He feels what the hell does he have to smile about,

No matter what he does, all they do is shout,

No one can see he just wants to be himself,

But the real him just wont come out,

Coz he cant he gotta shut all the people out,

Save him from the hurting they bring about.

Her music is her anchor,

It kinda saves her from herself,

It don't go judge her, like everybody else

Music to him is a drug,

Numbs his pain and frees his soul,

Helps them regroup when they loose control.

Sick of people wanting them to be perfect,

No love they want, they don't deserve it,

Every memory is like regret,

Her lost soul wishes she could forget,

Sorry is just another word,

Another word they wish they had never heard.

Lost words, lost voice, lost heart, lost soul,

All given up, hang our head down low,

Lost love, lost life, lost family,

Last hope, don't think we can carry on see.
